Yours truly has been given the responsibility of uploading and editing all of the content on the Cockrell School of Engineering website. WHOA. Never thought i’d say that. Today at work I learned how to use Joomla, a content managing program used by the university, and html. I actually have ADMINISTRATOR status, y’all. Can I call myself a techy now? lol. Of course, if something goes wrong and my tumblr post ends up on the EE homepage, it’s my fault too. I’m a little bit nervous also, but I can’t wait to practice. Every morning I get to wake up and get ready to go to the “office”. At lunch I get to sit around with my “coworkers” and eat. Today I also got to sit in on a conference call with Tex Moncreif (a really rich guy that donates a ton to UT) and listen to the director of communication pitch a $60 million proposal to build a new engineering building.
All I want is to learn learn learn every day.
